The famous mountain village of Grindelwald is nestled in a unique Alpine landscape at the foot of the north face of the Eiger. It is the diversity of the glacier village that makes it so attractive. A rich spectrum of activities and recreational opportunities in the midst of unspoiled nature is waiting to be discovered. The Eiger village is the ideal starting point for top excursions in the Jungfrau Region, such as Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe, First, Kleine Scheidegg, Männlichen or Pfingstegg.
Icy air sweeps across your face, snow crunches under your feet and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side, the view of the Central Plateau as far as France, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four-thousand-metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch, 3,454 meters above sea level, you can feel it from the very first step: this is a different world. One that you have to experience.
From Grindelwald Terminal to the Jungfraujoch in just 45 minutes! Take the new Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal to the Eiger Glacier and from there continue to the highest railroad station in Europe with the Jungfrau Railway.
The awakening mountain world offers a spectacle all of its own: in the distance, the first rays of sunshine can be seen on the mountain peaks, while the meadows in the valley are still in a quiet slumber. So it's worth getting up early.
